Ascaris Lumbricoides and Trichuris Trichiura: These two parasites are roundworms. They cause two types of food poisoning ailment “Ascertains” and “Trichuriasis” respectively. While ascariasis is generally known as the “large roundworm” infection, trichuriasis is known as “whip worm” infection. Normally, these food poisoning ailments occur when the eggs of these parasites enter human body through mouth by hands, other body parts, inanimate objects, or contaminated foods.

The treatment for both ascariasis and trichuriasis is simple. The aim of the treatment is to kill the all parasitic worms. This will be done by supplying certain medicines. In some cases, the intestine will be blocked by these parasites. In such condition, the treatment should be given to clear the intestinal blockade. Hence, this type of food poisoning should not be considered less regarding its severity.
